Seasonal fruits and vegetables are those which are only available in that particular month. It is advised to consume vegetables and fruits when they are available in their particular season or month. Not only are they more nutritious when consumed in season they are tastier as well. Winter Season
During the winter season the temperature drops down compared to our body temperature thus we face cold and cough. Building immunity becomes very necessary for this season. Papaya, all citrus fruits like oranges, sweet lime, strawberries, guava, mushrooms, cabbage, turnip, beetroot and more are good for the consumer during winters.
Summer Season
During the summer season, it is common to lose your appetite which makes us stay away from heavy foods. In summers we only like taking in liquids than solid foods. Our body tends to maintain temperature by perspiring heavily, thus we need food that naturally has more amount of water to keep our body hydrated.
Monsoon Season
During the monsoon season, our body becomes vulnerable to infection and water-borne diseases. In this season it is best suited to consume vegetables like pumpkin, Doodhi, Karela, corn and fruits like apples, mosambi and more.
